UPDATE: Meet the Makers! Californian & Chilean Wine Tasting
Wed 15 Mar 2023, 19:30 - 21:00
£20.00Meet the makers!
We’re excited to have Julio Bouchon, founder of Longavi Winery (Chile) joining Anthony Truchard (USA) for our ‘Meet the Maker’ tasting at Royston Museum next Wednesday, 15th March.
Join us for an evening of Chilean and California wine.
First established in 2012, Longavi is a personal project for two wine-industry friends: Julio Bouchon from Chile, and David Nieuwoudt from South Africa. Julio, a descendant of a French wine pioneer who arrived in Chile in 1887, is a journalist but winemaker at heart. David, the oenologist for Longavi, is the owner of the prestigious Cederberg winery, as well as Ghost Corner. With continuous communication, the two passionate partners are making this project work across continents.
Truchard Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. Proprietors Tony and Jo Ann Truchard have managed a successful vineyard and grown exceptional grapes for nearly 50 years. Through their hard work and devotion to this unique property, they helped pioneer grape growing in the Carneros region of Napa. In 1989, the Truchards established a winery and began producing wines using only their estate-grown fruit. Truchard wines are a firm favourite at Cambridge Wine Royston, and we’re excited to have Anthony along to host a tasting for us during his short trip to the UK.
